EUROVEA TOWER, THE FIRST SLOVAK SKYSCRAPER – EDGE PROTECTION CASE STUDY

The icons of Bratislava’s skyline will have a new companion. The first Slovak skyscraper Eurovea Tower will join them with a height of 168 meters. This project will bring high-quality housing for families and shops for locals providing many amenities. Eurovea Tower will offer 389 residences designed to highlight the city’s unique panoramic views.

HAKI is proud that since 2021 it has been helping to protect this project with its high-quality products. The well renown edge protection Barrier System, Catchfan safety nets and the Alsipercha personal fall protection system are used to provide the best collective protection options.

For the Barrier System, we have met the requirements for 1700mm high edge protection, which provides an extra high standard of safety when working at height and in limited space. A combination of a barrier panel, a 1800mm high post inserted into a foot drilled into concrete is used here.

Catchfan safety nets also ensure that the public and workers are not endangered by falling objects or debris.

Lastly, the Alsipercha anti-fall anchoring system ensures personal protection when working at heights covering horizontal formwork operations.

One floor will be added to the Eurovea Tower every 11 days, but thanks to our systems, which have a simple and quick installation, frequent moving is not a problem either.

Eurovea Tower sets the bar for construction safety requirements. We are glad to be part of this project.
