Suspended Stair Tower at DEEP underwater living facility in Wales
In summer 2023 HAKI were presented with the challenge of providing a solution for safe access into the flooded quarry which has a deepest underwater point of 80 meters. This solution needed to have multiple levels above and below the water to provide employees access to the research facility and the 360m2 pontoon for deploying subs.
Renovating Britain's busiest rail station, London Waterloo
The 100-year old station roof will have around 10,000 new glazing panes fitted to replace the existing glass. This replacement will facilitate improved lighting throughout the station and a 50% reduction in the total glass weight to minimise the stress on station infrastructure.
Construction of the Eurovea Skyscraper in Bratislava
The first Slovak skyscraper, Eurovea Tower, has joined Bratislava's iconic skyline, with 45 floors and a height of 168 meters. This project consists of shops as well as 389 high-quality residences with a unique panoramic view of the city along the Danube River.
Construction of the Tøyenbadet swimming pool complex in Oslo
The old Tøyenbadet in Oslo has been demolished and the brand new indoor swimming pool facility is now a work in progress – with HAKI selected as the main shoring and scaffolding supplier.

Solution for the EnQuest Magnus Platform
EnQuest Magnus (formerly BP Magnus) was one of BP's best-known assets on the UK continental shelf and BP has benefited from a long production run from the oil field. As well as providing hydrocarbon production from the field, Magnus is also the entry point for the Northern Leg gas pipeline, with gas exports from other nearby installations feeding the network for transfer to the onshore St Fergus gas terminal via Brent's.
TechniSpan mobile gantry enables Forth Rail Bridge repairs
A rope access inspection of the South Span of the Forth Rail Bridge highlighted a number of fractures in the steelwork that required to be repaired. Suitable access was required to allow repairs to the steelwork and coating works.
TechiSpan speeds up Forth Road Bridge steelwork changeout
During routine inspections of the Forth Road Bridge in 2015, a crack in the pivot of one of the truss end links was discovered. The changeout of the affected steelwork initially took 18 months to complete; largely slowed down by the traditional scaffolding having to be continually modified to react to the changing work scope.

Maintenance work on the Mærsk Inspirer in Denmark
The scaffolding for maintenance work on MÆRSK INSPIER is supplied by HAKI A/S in collaboration with SEMCO MARITIME A/S. The position is approx. 60 meters high, and there are scaffolding on all three legs, about 390 tons of HAKI.
Inspection of the CETAC Fuel Tank at Vitry-Sur-Seine
This circular fuel tank needed to be inspected for corrosion and had pipes that needed to be painted. The customer had limited time to assemble the scaffolding, perform the inspection and to demolish the scaffolding. There were also problems getting around an outside staircase and pipes on the ground.

Full height Edge Protection at London's Canary Wharf
Work on refurbishment of one of the tallest tower blocks within Canary Wharf began in July 2023 and is due for completion in 2025. This full refurbishment will ensure that the building, opened in 2001, is modernised whilst setting a new standard in sustainable design.

HAKI provides Weather Protection for HPC Pool Bunker Project
Representing a significant milestone in the UK’s nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first of a new wave of nuclear power sites across the nation which will supply low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. HAKI goes large-scale with temporary roof for Xervon project
XERVON required scaffolding to cover 4500m² and a temporary roof to cover 2200m², while new apartments were being built on the roof of an existing building.
Total Dunbar Offshore Project reduced by 85-man days
The Crane Boom on the Total Dunbar offshore platform had deteriorated due to harsh conditions and required changing with minimal disruption. The weather meant that the safety boat could only operate in certain conditions, so the amount of time spent erecting & dismantling the sections of the scaffolds classed as over board was a critical factor.

BP Mungo PFP Offshore Project
We specified the use of HAKI-Span 750 suspended access platform. While used for a number of previous projects, both on and offshore, this installation required a creative deviation from our typical methods of installation. Due to the lack of available pick-ups for both the finished platform, and for the rope access installation team, HAKI Access Solutions used additional wire rope winches to gain access to the area, and to facilitate the installation.
Longannet Boiler Project
One of the more complex requirements was to fit our suspended TechniSpan platform inside one of the stations boilers for various mechanical repairs and tube replacement on the super heaters.
