Training

Training is an essential part of our safety at height service. We offer a range of basic and advanced training courses for all our products. These training sessions help our customers to become safer and more productive using our products so that every project will be delivered on time and on budget.

 

We are happy to offer a variety of versatile courses to suit personnel product knowledge from Product Familiarisation Sessions (PFS) to the Full Installer Training Course ideal for operatives that have no experience with the Edge Protection system.

 

Product Familiarisation Session (PFS)

Duration: 2 hours

This simple but in-depth product-oriented training offers a basic understanding of product, and good practices using technical data sheets and weekly check guidance.

 

Full Installer Training Course

Duration: Full day

This training session is ideal for operatives that have no experience with the Edge Protection system. A comprehensive session taking operatives through the product in detail with focus on –

 

  • Working at Height,
  • EN BS related standards regulations,
  • Assessing risk related to product installation and operation,
  • Safe System Of Work (SSOW).

When it comes to working at height there will also be a brief refresher on Fall Protection and fall arrest (harness awareness and inspection guide) systems. Delegates will be shown installation best practice and how to install products in specific applications. All delegates will get hands on practical installer training. If passing criteria are met a HAKI training certificate is issued.

 

Refresher Training

Duration: Half day

The perfect installer refresher course for operatives who have some basic experience with the product. Suitable for delegates who have previously passed the full installer training course, this is a half-day session and is ideal for a new site or product.

 

Inspector Training

Duration: Full day

This session offers delegates training on how to inspect installed systems competently. The course is designed to train system inspectors who will carry out weekly inspections of the system on site with help of our handy weekly checklist. Often booked by site supervisors or managers.

How many delegates can booked onto one session?

  • Maximum 10 delegates per session

How quickly can we get on site to conduct the training(s)?

  • Availability based upon existing bookings is 1-2 weeks

How are the full day training courses structured?

  • Our full day sessions are split into two halves – theory and practical. Theory, approx. 3.5 hours, for this part we will need a training room with a TV, large enough for the number of delegates. Practical, approx. 3 hours, will require Catchfan complete or Barriers dependent upon the training type as well as your preferred anchoring or drilling equipment. Check with the trainer prior to booking.
